I've found your site online where I can download the open data information I need: https:

Dear, Apologies for the delay in answering your question, we had a technical glitch in receiving it. The information on the historic building database has recently been updated and can be downloaded as a csv file. The data includes the date of construction for each building (listed as “Date_Low” “Date_High” and “Date Combo”). Go to NYC Open Data Portal, search for LPC, open "LPC Individual Landmark and Historic District Database", click the "Export" tab on the right, click "CSV" to download. Information from this table can be joined to the "Individual Landmarks" point file by the common field "BIN" (Building Identification Number). Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC)

Hi, There is certainly data visualization capability on the portal. Here is a help page that will show you how to access the portals new visualization feature: https://support.socrata.com/hc/en-us/articles/1150... Upon receiving your inquiry I attempted to create a visualization on 311's 2008 data found here: https://data.cityofnewyork.us/Social-Services/311-... . I would like to advise on three things: One, please understand that 2008-2009 data can be found in separate data sets. The only 311 compliant data that spans different years can be found from 2010-Present here: https://data.cityofnewyork.us/Social-Services/311-... Two, Please have a plan on how you would like to filter down on what you are looking for. This data is massive with millions of rows and may require significant time to render a visualization even if it is just to make a small change. Three, please be advised that there many complaint categories. It may be helpful to just select a handful that are relevant to what you are trying to convey. When trying to visualize the amount of complaints for every complaint type in 2008 data, my bar chart was practically illegible Hope this helps. Update city racks data (bicycle racks). The data available is from 2013. Building a mobile app to display racks across the city

Hi , The information you are looking for is not the most up to date information. The Department of Transportation is currently working on updating and creating a new system to display the information you are requesting. The information will be available by the end of the year; December 2018. For information requests (documents, correspondence, etc.) we encourage you to submit a FOIL request via Open Records: https://a860-openrecords.nyc.gov/ FOIL stands for the Freedom of Information Law. The New York State Freedom of Information Law requires government agencies to provide records to the public upon request. Government records affect the lives of each New Yorker, and providing easy access to the records makes government work better. The FOIL definition of records is very broad and includes information found in paper and electronic documents and audio and visual recordings. All records are available upon request, unless an exception in FOIL permits an agency to deny access to a record. Learn more about FOIL requests via this Frequently Asked Questions page. A dataset that links all condo or coop BBLs to BBLs used in PLUTO for the physical lot. What are the PLUTO attributes of a given condo or coop property?

Hello, The data you've requested can be found here: https://data.cityofnewyork.us/Housing-Development/Department-of-Finance-Digital-Tax-Map/smk3-tmxj The Digital Tax Map (DTM) is produced by the Dept. of Finance. Within this download is a geodatabase that contains several tables including Condo and Condo Units. Condo contains lots that have a condo on the property. (i.e. all tax lots w/ condo flag = ) Condo Unit contains a list of all individual condo units (i.e. 1001, 1002, etc) Note: in DTM most condo lots are in the 7500 range (mutliple condos on one block - 7501, 7502, etc). Each condo lot will contain condo units that get a 1000 range number (i.e. 1001, 1002, etc). - NYC Open Data

Hi, At this time, we believe that your nominated data set is not maintained by a New York City agency but rather the US Census Bureau. However, you might be able to acquire the data you are looking for via The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC). NYMTC is not a NYC Agency and not subject to open data law, but it does make 2010-2050 Total Population projections available at the Transportation Analysis Zone (TAZ) level - closest equivalent geography is the census tract. The TAZ projections can be viewed through the NYMTC website: Transportation Information Gateway (TIG). It is somewhat difficult to navigate to the download page from the main site so I please use two links, 1) tabular and 2) shapefile provided below: Table: https://tig.nymtc.org/views/78/table Click on "More" on top right of table Click Export All (or Export filtered if you used filters) Wait for excel file to download and click on file Shapefile: https://tig.nymtc.org/views/78/map#export Click on the download icon on the options bar on the left side of the map (4th icon from top, directly under plus 1 icon - looks like a down arrow above a box) Then click on the 2010-2050 Total Population link (under "Click to export as Shapefile" text) Wait until you see "Do you want to open or save file" message on bottom of screen

I'm trying to get a sense of the number of residential solar installations on Staten Island. I was hoping to be able to pull building permits but it seems that there isn't any way of identifying them specifically. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi, We don't currently track solar installations specifically, but you can still find them in our data. In DOB Job Application Filings, you should filter the "Other Description" column for "SOLAR TAX". You should also check the "Job Description" column for mention of solar. This is not standardized, so there may be jobs missing from your results, but you should get the majority of solar job applications in the city. If you need this on the permit level, you should then check the DOB Permit Issuance dataset to see if a permit has been issued for that job. Thank you, - NYC Department of Buildings (DOB)

Building Occupancy data is there any way to know max number people allowed in particular premises ?

Hi, This information is not currently a data point in our Open Data. You can check Building Code to find out how to calculate it. As a matter of public safety, New York City requires a Place of Assembly (PA) Certificate of Operation for all premises where the Certificate of Occupancy indicates that 75 or more members of the public may gather indoors or 200 or more may gather outdoors for religious, recreational, educational, political or social purposes, to consume food or drink, await transportation, or any similar group activities. NYC Zoning Tax Lot Database Historical from about 2000-present Hi, I am a PhD student at UNC working in conjunction with NYU CUSP. My dissertation is looking at the impact of zoning on property values. I was wondering if you had historical data dating back to 2000 on the NYC ZOning Tax Lot Database,

Hello, We have the NYC Zoning Tax Lot Database available for several months between 2013 - Present. http://www1.nyc.gov/site/planning/data-maps/open-data/bytes-archive.page?sorts%5Byear%5D=0 search NYC Zoning Tax Lot Database Unfortunately we do not have that data beyond 2013. We do make MapPLUTO (tax lots) available for most years going back to 2002, This dataset contains zoning values for each tax lot. You can access that here: http://www1.nyc.gov/site/planning/data-maps/open-data/bytes-archive.page?sorts%5Byear%5D=0 search MapPLUTO Another dataset we offer is the NYC Zoning Map Amendments (NYZMA). This is a record of every zoning change adopted going back to 1961. This contains the ULURP Number and Effective date (date Adopted by City Council). You can access that here:http://www1.nyc.gov/site/planning/data-maps/open-data/dwn-gis-zoning.page Download the ESRI shapefiles or ESRI File Geodatabase version and use the NYZMA layer The last dataset that might be of interest is the archived version of our NYC Zoning Districts that goes back to 2009 (several months available for each year). You can access that here: http://www1.nyc.gov/site/planning/data-maps/open-data/bytes-archive.page?sorts%5Byear%5D=0 search NYC GIS Zoning Feautres (shapefile or File GeoDB)

I am looking for Historical Demographics in NYC by zip code dating back to 2003. Please let me know where I can find this data? I am working on a project and need the data for a presentation.

Hi, Demographics are usually not maintained at the zip code level. You can acquire demographic data from the US Census Bureau, but they will be at another geography level (i.e. Census Tract, Census Block, etc.). It is advised that you use aggregates of the original data to maintain data accuracy and integrity. The NYC zip codes are available on open data from DOITT:https://data.cityofnewyork.us/Business/Zip-Code-Boundaries/i8iw-xf4u. They can be used to aggregate multiple census tracts or blocks to similar geographic areas.
