Population projections in Queens at the zip code/census tract/neighborhood level (whichever is available - anything that is more granular than the available borough-level projections) What are the commuting characteristics of Queens residents? In what parts of Queens can we expect population growth

Hi, At this time, we believe that your nominated data set is not maintained by a New York City agency but rather the US Census Bureau. However, you might be able to acquire the data you are looking for via The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC). NYMTC is not a NYC Agency and not subject to open data law, but it does make 2010-2050 Total Population projections available at the Transportation Analysis Zone (TAZ) level - closest equivalent geography is the census tract. The TAZ projections can be viewed through the NYMTC website: Transportation Information Gateway (TIG). It is somewhat difficult to navigate to the download page from the main site so I please use two links, 1) tabular and 2) shapefile provided below: Table: https://tig.nymtc.org/views/78/table Click on "More" on top right of table Click Export All (or Export filtered if you used filters) Wait for excel file to download and click on file Shapefile: https://tig.nymtc.org/views/78/map#export Click on the download icon on the options bar on the left side of the map (4th icon from top, directly under plus 1 icon - looks like a down arrow above a box) Then click on the 2010-2050 Total Population link (under "Click to export as Shapefile" text) Wait until you see "Do you want to open or save file" message on bottom of screen
