Year Built as of January 2010 - Data Request

DeclinedPortal status: CLOSED

Dear Open Data Team, My name is Daniel Doležal and I am a PhD student in Regional Geography at Palacký University Olomouc, Czechia. I am currently collaborating on research with Professor Damian Collins from the University of Alberta (cc'ed), following my past research visits to Edmonton and his department in particular. We are conducting a spatial analysis of residential infill and changes to the housing landscape in the Inglewood neighbourhood. I have been extensively utilizing the "Property Information (Current Calendar Year)" dataset from the Edmonton Open Data Portal (ID: dkk9-cj3x). However, as the portal's changelog only extends back to March 27, 2023, I am unable to access the historical baseline required for our research. Would it be possible to obtain a historical snapshot of this property dataset specifically containing the "Year Built" and property/point geometry attributes? In the end, it does not have to be this exact dataset – any dataset that provides the age of the housing stock (Year of construction) in spatial context (geometry) as of 1 Jan 2010 (or around) works well. Having this 2010 baseline is important for our methodology. It will allow us to accurately assess the age and structure of the neighbourhood's housing stock before the recent waves of redevelopment and deregulation. Thank you very much for your time, assistance, and for maintaining such an excellent open data portal!
